Affirmations to Help Your Infant Learn About Being and Trust

If your baby is 'beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time,' you're the grandma.

— Theresa Bloomingdale

The developmental task of all new babies is to trust that the world will support them, to know they are welcome in the family, and to learn that simply "being" in the world is important. With recent research on the brain, we know that bonding at this stage can set the foundation for the rest of the child's life. When parents recognize what their child needs at this first stage of growth, they can give them the affirmations on which to build a solid foundation.

Of course, when we speak of "affirmations" for infants, we don't particularly mean words, although even very young children can recognize their mothers voice at birth. Nevertheless, you may wonder how affirmations apply to an infant since a newborn hasn't learned a language yet. But the messages parents and others give to newborns aren't expressed only in words. Babies learn it is their right to be in the world and to have their needs taken care of when their caregivers bond with them emotionally and gently nurture them with touch and loving care. That is why a soothing tone of voice is as important for an infant as the verbal encouragement offered a toddler who is afraid to go down a slide.

Every time you gently hold a baby who has been fussing, you are teaching her that the world is a safe place to be. Every time you feed her when she has been crying, you are teaching her that she can get her needs met by letting others know what she wants. When you respond to her needs quickly and sensitively, she gradually learns how to comfort herself. When you talk with her as you change her diaper or put her in the car seat, you build on the language capacity her brain is programmed to develop.

Affirmations needed by all babies from birth to six months of age—and by everyone else as well:

  • We're glad you're here, because this is where you belong.
  • We love holding you and having you near us.
  • We will provide what you need because your needs are important to us.
  • You can take your time to grow up at your own pace.
  • We cherish you because you are a gift to the world.
  • We will dream great dreams for you.
By using affirmations, and the methods described, you will be laying a firm foundation for your child's emotional, physical, and mental growth throughout life.

Vaccination Reactions and Alternative Medicine

To vaccinate or not to vaccinate, the choice either way can be a very volatile one. Vaccinations can cause a broad spectrum of minor symptoms to lifelong elusive diseases and even death. The same can be true from not being vaccinated.

The more you study both sides of the issue the more you see a lose-lose scenario. The good news is the benefits of Homeopathy can turn this lose-lose scenario into a win-win scenario for everybody.

The perplexion over vaccination has resulted in a new mental condition called "vaccination anxiety".

THE VACCINATION PERPLEXION

Acute vaccination reactions usually take place within seven days of the vaccination. The symptoms include paralysis, convulsions, nausea, dangerously high fevers, chronic nervous system disorders, acute brain inflammations (encephalitis), diarrhea, learning disabilities, hyperactivity, permanent brain damage, and death. Doctors are required by law to inform parents of the numerous side effects associated with vaccination.

On the other hand, not immunizing can cause equally if not more devastating diseases. The parents must also face the grief and guilt that may come from the choices they made. Then follows the legal issues including the potentials of losing all their children to the state and even imprisonment. This may seem radical yet it has happened.

Routine questions heard in our offices are, "Should I have my children vaccinated?" or "What do you think of vaccination?" These and other related questions could pose a potentially volatile position for the doctor, a well meaning friend, and especially the parents. What if you say, "Don't do it" or "I wouldn't do it" and the person ends up with the disease? Or do you say, "Do it" or "I would do it," and they end up with a related problem from the immunization? There are numerous legal, emotional, and ethical effects involving everybody.

Another common question is whether homeopathy can be used as a safe alternative to vaccination. Although this idea has some promising potentials and has been used in a limited number of people, this practice is clearly illegal in the United States. According to the FDA, more research is definitely required over time to safely establish this practice. Besides being illegal, this practice of homeopathic immunization alternative could be quite volatile if the outcome is not totally positive.

THE WIN-WIN SOLUTION King Bio's VaccinoPlex

King Bio's VaccinoPlex formula can be safely and easily used to prevent and effectively correct the common side effects of immunizations. King Bio's VaccinoPlex turns a lose-lose scenario into a win-win solution. The patient, the parents, the doctor and everyone involved end up in the safest, healthiest position.

HOW TO TAKE KING BIO'S VACCINOPLEX

When you know vaccinations are going to happen, take 3 days before vaccinations and 1 or 2 weeks after vaccinations 2 or 3 times a day.

If reactions have occurred, I recommend taking it 6 to 8 times a day. Usually symptoms will be negated in 1 to 3 days.

King Bio's VaccinoPlex formula has commonly shown positive for those more elusive chronic conditions common to our society. This formula has played a significant role helping both children and adults with ADD, hyperactivity, chronic viral infections, swollen glands, allergies, skin problems and other immune and neurological disorders.

The Bio-Response Test, (BRT) can be used by the customer to confirm whether he needs this product and when it has fully done its job. You may also use this quick and easy procedure to determine additional homeopathic formulas personally needed. The pocket procedural manual called Making Homeopathy Easy, by Dr. King, explains these procedures.

Parents can rest in having the blessing of both worlds. You don't have political, medical, educational or legal battles to fight. You won't have that underlying grief or guilt wondering if you made the right decision for your children or your customers' children. You can walk in a greater level of peace with a win-win decision. Homeopathy provides a pleasant alternative in a world where there are so many unanswered questions and uncertainties.

Teens and Kids Pajama Party - Secrets, Snacks and Sleepovers

You're never too old for a pajama party! Giggling with the gang, snacking on chips, ice cream and junk food you'd never ordinarily top up on; good memories from a more innocent time. For any teen or adult who wants to have their friends over for a sleepover, it can be a great idea to plan for a successful night of fun.

One important aspect of any slumber party is choosing what to watch. Younger partygoers might like to watch movies, or a show they all like. For older partygoers, nothing is quite as much fun as watching the old sitcoms we all grew up with. They're a great way to reminisce and bring back memories.

Make sure there are plenty of snacks for midnight kitchen raids. You know you are going to get those hunger pangs so it's a good idea to plan ahead and have some great party snacks ready. Make up platters of snacks with chips and dip and chocolate cake. These are absolute favorites for any pajama party guest.

Pick out a pretty set of pajamas for yourself so you don't look like a mismatched mess. And don't forget the beauty products so you and your guests can enjoy a night of pampering each other.

A pajama party is a great way to have fun and catch up on all the gossip with friends. More importantly, you can relax, enjoy the company of your friends and reminisce about your younger days.

Fast Action With Household Items Can Keep Your Child Happy

Quick – your toddler or preschooler is bored and he's starting to whine. What can you get to catch his interest and change his attitude? Actually, you have plenty of readily available items that you could quickly grab to bring on the laughs and creativity and eliminate the restlessness.

Whipped Cream – Grab the can out of your refrigerator. Strip your child down do her diaper or underwear. Clean off the un-upholstered kitchen chair. Spray on the whipped cream and let her explore the texture, make pictures, and revel in the yummy taste.

Return Address Labels – Grab all those extra labels you get in the mail from charities along with some paper. Hand them over and let your child have fun making sticker pictures.

Junk Mail – You get plenty of return envelopes and bright-colored pictures in your junk mail. Hand it over to the kids and let them play office. It's even better when you haven't bothered opening your junk mail – then you can have them "help" you open all the mail.

Used greeting or holiday cards – You don't need them anymore, but the pictures on the front of those cards could be candy to your child's imagination. Hand over the cards with a blunt-edge pair of scissors and let him cut out pictures. He can arrange them on paper to make a collage. Or, let him decide what to do with the pictures and see what his creative mind comes up with.

Let your own imagination come up with what you can quickly hand to your children when they need a change of pace. They don't need complex toys or an elaborate craft supply set up, they only need something simple that they don't use all the time. In no time they'll end up having some unexpected fun and you'll ward off the stress of an unhappy child.

Decorating Your Dinner Table with Style

So, you're having a big dinner party or just a few of your friends are coming over for a meal. We've got plenty of ideas to help you create a great table setting for your guests.

Choosing Your Table Cloth

Your tablecloth choice will depend on your dinnerware. If you have patterned dinnerware, choose a plain tablecloth. If you have plain, single-colored dinnerware, you can choose a patterned tablecloth.

Be careful with choosing too much color. If you have brightly colored dinnerware, whether it is patterned or not, choose a more subtle and neutral color for your tablecloth.

You might also place a plastic pad under your table cloth. This will prevent stains on your table and reduce clanging from dishes and cutlery.

Creating Your Place Settings

Try adding name cards to your settings. Not only does this take the guesswork out of where to sit for your guests, it's add some more style and personality. People appreciate this extra attention to detail.

Make sure that you have enough space for your guests to sit comfortably. If not, it might make sense to add another table or rent a table from your local party store so that everyone can sit comfortably. It doesn't have to be a fancy table either...just cover it with a nice tablecloth and you'll be all set.

If your dishes are plain white, you might consider charger plates to add a splash of color. But again, if your tablecloth is adding plenty of color, you might forgo the extra busyness.

Assuming your not going completely formal, here are some general guidelines for placing cutlery. Forks to the left, knives to the right and dessert flatware above the plate. Salad and appetizer forks and knives should go on the outside. The cutlery for the main meal is placed closest to the plate.

Glassware goes in the top right of your setting and how complicated you make this up to you. Traditionally, you'll start with the water glass, wine glass and finish with a dessert glass. Unless you have a lot of space at your table, that can create a lot of clutter and most guests will probably not use all those glasses. I prefer to know my guests preferences in advance and place the appropriate glassware at their place setting.

Other Details

Make sure there are enough salt and pepper shakers and butter trays for your guests to reach or pass easily. If you have a large table, you don't want your guests to have to shout across the table to get what they need.

Don't forget the centerpiece. Try a floral arrangement, tapered candles or something to suit your unique taste.

Flower Baby Names

Flowers beautify the garden, house, and room. The male gives flowers to female to gain affection from her. As we like to beautify our environment, we also like to beautify our baby. So, we sometimes name the baby with name of the flowers.

Flower means blooms or blossoms. The main function is to reproduce. The pollens in the flowers spread to produce more flowers. In trees, the fruit starts as flowers. After the flowers fertilize, the flowers turns into a fruit. In the fruit, you will see seeds for the next generation of trees.

Humans have used flowers for hundreds of years. The flowers have been in our culture like wedding ceremony, Christenings ceremony, home decoration, funeral flowers, and gift giving. The wedding flowers intensify the beauty of the wedding dresses with flowers in corsages, boutonnieres, hairclips, and bouquet.

The flower baby names are coming back in popularity. For example, Rose, Blossom, Dahlia, Rosemary, Daisy, Flora, Heather, Hyacinth, Iris, Ivy, Jasmine, Lily, Rhoda, and Violet have risen in popularity.

Rose is a German baby name which means fame. Although Rose is usually associated with Rosa, Rose is actually from German origin. Rosa is from a Latin word. The variants of Rose are Rosemary, Rosalind, Rosanne, and Rosario.

Blossom is an English baby name which means fresh. The baby name was popular in the 20th century.

Dahlia is the national flower of Mexico. Anders Dahl from Sweden brought the flower to Mexico. The flower has bold and vibrant colors.

Like the Lily, the flower gives classic beauty and romance to the baby names. Often, the florists like to use Calla Lilies and Casa Blanca Lilies in an enchanting wedding. Lily is an English baby name which is a symbol of innocence, purity, and beauty.

Rhoda is one of the biblical baby names. In the holy bible, Rhoda serves the Christ disciples. In Greek, Rhoda means rose.
